Kaslo.org is Kaslo’s Community Network which has been designed to have the look and feel of a Community Newspaper. Kaslo.org is the combined initiative of both the Kaslo and Area Residents Association (KARA) and Kaslo InfoNet (KIN).

The goal of Kaslo.org is to provide a platform where community members throughout the Upper Kootenay Lake area can obtain information on local activities and current issues. Our objective is to have local ‘editors’ provide the articles and content that pertains to the subjects of their choice. This could also include photos, videos and music of local events and community members.

This community website could not have been produced without the hard work, dedication and determination of Michael Rogers (owner/operator of Intricate Designs and President of Kaslo InfoNet). Through many difficult trials and tribulations, Michael has finally been able to get this site up-and-running and will be the technical administrator for this Network, Kaslo.org is web site based on Joomla software – a content management system, which provides the ability to ‘upload’ content in an easy and convenient method.

Kaslo.org is Your Community Network and without your support and collaboration, local issues and news will not be reported. This initiative was developed from the KARA mandate to provide a method to report on Community Issues throughout the Upper Kootenay Lake area. With your support and cooperation, not only will local editors be able to provide you with local and lively articles but the community can provide input through the “Speakers Corner” to debate any issues of concern.
